A day after an attack on Kamsi Ibeh, an #EndSARS protester who was one of the testifiers before the Lagos State Judicial Panel on Restitution for Victims of SARS Related Abuses and Other Matters, was stabbed multiple times, another protester says she has received a death threat.

Dabira Olayinka, the protester who was marked for elimination in the picture, said she and four others had taken Kamsi to a hospital on Victoria Island, only to find a strange envelope when they returned to Dabira’s car.

One of the quintets, who asked not to be named for security reasons, said:

“Turning to put Kamsi in the back seat of the car, I noticed that the door on the passenger’s side in front had the envelope at the handle,”

“I removed it and looked at it. Lo and behold it was a threat letter. I started to panic.”

Sam Isah, another protester, said he suspected a dark-skinned guy loitering around the car.

Sam stated:

“I suspected a dark-skinned guy wearing a jersey and pants, who, as we were coming down, was climbing up.”

“He saw us when we were raising the alarm. He had a funny look but we couldn’t do anything because we had no evidence.”

It is understood, in the meantime, that the protesters intend to lodge a formal complaint with the police, via their lawyers.

Meanwhile, Ibeh was one of the protesters who witnessed the carnage unleashed on young persons protesting against police brutality at the Lekki Tollgate.

She had appeared before the panel as a witness and agitated for justice for victims of the massacre that happened on October 20, 2020.

But on Sunday evening, a few days after appearing before the panel, Ibeh was attacked while returning from work.
