It is no longer news to many people globally that American tech giant, Apple Inc., makers of Apple brand of products- iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, have urged users to do an upgrade.

Apple’s warning to users of its products to upgrade to iOS 14.8, came after Apple fixed spyware, which researchers say allows a “zero-click” on devices, which means the target (device user) does not have to do anything to be exposed to the Pegasus spyware.

The Pegasus spyware is reportedly capable of stealing data, passwords, and activating a phone’s microphone or camera.

Meanwhile, a new development shows that the upgrade to the new operating system-  iOS 14.8, comes with its implications.

  • Analysis has shown that once there is an upgrade at the time of the release of a new product from the same maker, it means that the old device would become slow in its response to operations.
  • This further implies that if an iPhone 12 user upgrades his device and it responds slowly to operations, the iPhone 12 user might have to get a new device- an iPhone 13.

  • The warning, according to findings by Taletime9ja, is a marketing strategy aimed at selling the soon-to-be-released iPhone 13.
  • It was further gathered that if the upgrade was made in the absence of a new device, then that the old device would function optimally.

Apple recently announced the introduction of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, with a statement from its senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Greg Joswiak, saying:

“iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max make up our most pro iPhone lineup ever with the biggest advancement for our camera system, the best battery life ever in an iPhone, and the fastest performance of any smartphone, setting a new standard for iPhone and enabling incredible experiences never before possible.”

Pre-orders for the phone will commence on Friday, September 17, and will become fully available from Friday, September 24, 2021.
