President Muhammad Buhari has approved the appointment of Senator Gbenga Ashafa as the new Managing Director of the Federal Housing Authority, FHA.
He also appointed Hon. Abdulmumnin Jibrin, as the Executive Director, Federal Housing Authority Business Development in charge of commercial, corporate and social housing.
This appointment was made known in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos state governor on New Media, Gawat Jubril via his twitter handle.
According to him, the appointment was with immediate effect.
The tweet read: “FLASH: President @MBuhari has approved the appointment of @SenGbengaAshafa as Managing Director Federal Housing Authority FHA and Hon Abdulmumnin Jibrin @AbdulAbmJ as Executive Director Business Development in charge of commercial, corporate & social housing with immediate effect,” Jubril tweeted.
Meanwhile, Nigerians and several politicians have congratulated the appointees.
While congratulating Jibrin, Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for finding him worthy.
Prior to their appointments, the new Managing Director for Federal Housing Authority was a one time Senator in the House of Senate, representing Lagos East senatorial district and a Permanent Secretary, Lagos State lands Bureau while Abdulmumnin Jibrin was a former Kano State lawmaker.
