Homosexuality is romantic attraction, sexual attraction, or sexual behavior between members of the same sex or gender. For instance, Bob and Brown (both, men) making sexual advances towards each other.
Like never before, the world is witnessing an unprecedented rise in the number of persons advocating for inclusion of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community in several countries and the western world has taken the lead in pushing this agenda.
Although the mainstream media may have played a cameo role in advancing the agenda of the people of this community, movies (including short films and series) have been employed as what could be described as the best mechanism, to drive this narrative.
Several short films and series have been released to world acclaim, all in a bid to drive the agenda of getting the world to accept this set of people who have been considered in certain climes, like Africa, as unfit to exist among ‘normal’ people.
‘Portrait of a Lady on Fire’ (2019), ‘Happy Together’ (1997), ‘Pride’ (2014), ‘Elite’ (2018 series), ‘Sex Education’ (2019 Series) are examples of many other films that have been released to advocate for the recognition of gays and lesbians as normal human beings.

While the world was at this, DC comic series announced that the fifth issue of the “Superman: Son of Kal-El” will confirm that the new Superman is bisexual and that he fell in love with a male reporter, Jay Nakamura.
There couldn’t have been a more disturbing way to drive the narrative for a widely accepted homosexuality community than what DC did with the portrayal of Superman as bisexual.
The move by DC comic series, however, poses grave danger to underage persons across the world, who cannot properly button their shirts let alone have an understanding of the subject of sexuality.
Exposing them to such content as Superman being gay, goes a long way to influence a younger generation of people that are attracted to DC comic’s content but are not mature enough to make life-changing decisions.
This further implies that the Superman character has been weaponised to champion the course of the gay community and expand its network, by penetrating the minds of a younger generation who are vulnerable and would be keen to try out same-sex sexual acts. And as they (youngsters) perform this act, it becomes normal to them over the course of time and that amounts to a win for the LGBTQ community.
This is coming at a time when several countries of the world still frown at the idea of same-sex marriage. In northern Nigeria, a person found guilty of such an act by a Sharia court risks losing his or her life.
The question, in the meantime, is, how long will the western world continue to drive the narrative of a global community of homosexuals?
