The Senate has given its confirmation to the appointments of Ola Olukoyede as the Chairman and Mohammed Hamajoda as the Secretary of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Additionally, Halima Shehu has been confirmed as the CEO of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).
Ola Olukoyede, who was previously the acting chairman, was appointed to the position after the suspension of Abdulrasheed Bawa.
During the screening process, Olukoyede emphasized the need to address the financial crisis overwhelming various institutions and systems in Nigeria. He pledged to carry out his responsibilities without bias and in compliance with the law, prioritizing prevention over enforcement.
